Lithion utilizes our proprietary BMS (Battery Management System) to design custom battery solutions for a variety of applications including the marine and military industries. We craft reliable power storage in the form of battery modules, primary and secondary battery cells, and both rechargeable and non-rechargeable battery packs. With manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Canada, we work to ensure our battery power solutions are of the highest caliber for our customers across the globe. Our lithium-ion batteries sustain a longer cycle life and are fitted to each client’s unique power needs.

Our Process

Lithion works with each client to learn what their energy solution needs to be able to do, from basic functionality to exact kW capability. From there we utilize our cells, packs, and modules to create efficient and reliable solutions for their applications. For industrial battery packs we typically use our lithium-ion batteries, whereas for energy storage systems, we use lithium iron phosphate batteries. Each industry requires certain abilities and thanks to our decades of experience, we know which custom battery design will work best.

Feasibility Study

The process begins with a comprehensive feasibility study to understand the unique requirements of each project. We collaborate closely with clients to assess technical specifications, performance expectations, and environmental considerations. 

Design

Our experienced engineering team develops detailed designs tailored to meet the specific needs of the project. We utilize advanced design tools and simulations to create efficient and effective battery systems. 

Prototype

In the prototype phase, initial models are constructed to validate the design's functionality and performance. These prototypes undergo rigorous testing to identify any potential issues and refine the design. 

Validation

In this stage, the prototypes undergo extensive testing under various conditions to ensure they meet all operational and safety requirements. We conduct performance evaluations, stress tests, and compliance checks to validate the design's robustness and reliability.

Production

Finally, the project moves to the production phase. Using our manufacturing facilities, we produce the battery systems at scale, maintaining strict quality control throughout the process.

Lithion is certified under ISO 9001 and 13485 for quality assurance and consistently earns recertification.

Our lithium-ion vehicle battery options as well as lithium thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2), lithium sulfuryl chloride (Li-SOxCL2), and lithium manganese dioxide (Li-MnO2) battery chemistries can power a low speed vehicle, off highway vehicle, refrigerated truck, and more. What are the specifications for primary battery cells from Lithion?
Our proprietary primary cell battery solutions offer a range of cylindrical sizes from AAA to DDD, custom designs are able to have further tailoring, with proprietary spring mechanisms, temperature ratings up to 225C, high shock and vibration tolerance, and increased ratios of active materials with reduced internal mechanical welds. Our advanced lithium primary cell chemistries include lithium thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2) with temperature ratings up to 225C, lithium sulfuryl chloride (Li-SOxCL2) with temperature ratings up to 165C, a hybrid of Li-CFx/MnO2 with temperature ratings up to 110C, and your choice of electrolytes.
